The best Christmas present was back in 1999 - I refused to spend any holiday with my family that year and Christmas day was with my friend Cindra's family. Among other things, her parents gave me a Diamond Rio MP3 player; it held ~a CD's worth of MP3s and ran on a AA battery and it was brilliant! But I assumed they'd mis-labeled the package and tried to give it back...

What's the best gift you've given?

Yes, but not from the mall. Santa used to come around the neighborhood and visit all the kids! It was my best friend's dad and even if I asked her if it was her dad she'd deny it. She was good at keeping a secret!

Have you ever traveled by Greyhound bus?

Yes, I had chicken pox when I was 6 months old & my mom said I had very few spots - she could count them easily.  (My oldest brother who was 15 years old had it then too.)

No, not really...I dont liek the stigma of a resolution but bringing in a new year does help make things more positive.

Do you have a Christmas Eve tradition?

Yeah, we go to Grace Cathedral for Midnight Mass.   :)

Do you like smelly candles or plug in thingies?

Smelly candles. The plug-ins are too strong.

What is your favorite holiday decoration?

What is your favorite holiday decoration?
We don't have any decorations except for several hand-carved wooden snowflakes and stars which were carved and painted by hubby's students one year.  We also have a strand of tiny lights (fairy lights) but they are up all year 'round.

Does your workplace decorate for the holidays?

Well in Texas yes they do but its such a joke...our Xmas parties dont happen anymore so no one wants to decorate the office but the drag the tree out and do it anyways...

Are you the person to stay in bed and have coffee/breakfast brought to you? or the person doing the making?

A little bit of both.  Some days I bring DH coffee in bed (usually on workdays), and some days he brings it to me (usually on weekends) - it all evens out.  :)
