Hi ive spent hours googling for best US Landline to UK mobile phone card rates.
Cheapest i come up with is 13cents per minute, 3 minute rounding , $10 gets you 77minutes , 99cents per week maintanance fee.
I still have my U.S. mobile service (CINGULAR) and for $3.99 a month additional they have an INTERNATIONAL CALLING plan which will give you 6cents per minute to UK landline and 29cents per minute to UK mobile.

So....what do you guys think ?

Any yoo guys found a cheaper calling card (again, U.S. landline to U.K. mobile specifically)?

Cheers
Zu
PS on second thought, best price tips on calling from U.S. landline to U.K. landline might be a good idea as i might have to utilize this method as well.

I use Minute Pass.  I get a rechargeable card, $30 for approx 214 mins from a US landline to a UK mobile, 14cents a min, 1min rounding.  You also get 100 free mins the first time you recharge it and a 5% bonus everytime there after.
It's been the best card I've ever found.   A little tip.. when you recharge, don't put the max allowable on  your card, because you won't get the 5% bonus (I learned this the hard way, thinking Ooo 5% of $90 would get me a good bonus)... recharging in smaller increments $50 or so you get the biggest bonus and save money :)

Ok i just checked out the site but i did not find any rates for calling UK MOBILE.

Are you sure the rate of 14cents per minute is not for calling UK LANDLINE ?

I use it EVERYDAY, to call his mobile...and believe me it's 14cents a minute.. actually I've called him on a landline before and it was the same rate.

I think the reason they don't list it, is because there is no difference :)

I hope it works out for you.. pm me and let me know what you think of it :)

I used to use SBC international call plan, $2.99 a month added on to the $20 a month long distance plan and 7 cents a min.. until they messed me over with a 16cent a min sir charge to call a mobile line without telling me about it upfront... I spent over $1000 for phone bill charges in the last 2 months... grrrrr
