Chicago to London!!!
« on: October 01, 2003, 10:41:41 PM »
Hi,  I just moved to London from Chicago for school and though London is wonderful, I really miss parts of the US - especially my friends.  I don't usually do this internet posting stuff but thought I'd give it a shot.  I start school tomorrow but have been here a while so I usually spend my days going to museums/galleries and being a psuedo sloan ranger.  It's nice to know you are all here as well...

cheers (all ready on top of the lingo!),
Katie  :-*

Hi there Katie! As as future student I so know where you are coming from.  Of course I will have husband in tow or will he have me in tow?  ;D  What are you studying and where?  Okay enough nosey me...I hope you have a great time there and get used to all the wacky ways.

Welcome on board and keep posting.  Many are up for gatherings around London.

Hi Katie and welcome!  I'm from the Chicago area originally...that's really stretching it a bit though as I'm from Plainfield/Joliet area.

This site has been very helpful for me both when I was preparing to move to the UK and after moving here as well.  Hope to see you post often!

Hi Katie...
I moved here from Chicago about 3 years ago. It was rough at first, but I'm surviving!!  I work here and am also studying to be an accountant. Pretty lame career choice, but I'm hoping the cash will make up for it!  How's school going for you?  Are you still enjoying London?
Take Care,
Nan
