Places to stay in NYC....
« on: August 30, 2005, 04:23:42 PM »
...Looks like we may end up spending one night in NYC while we're in transit to the UK.  Anyone have any suggestions for somewhere to stay?  I'm looking for clean, safe, and won't break the bank!  ;D

Thanks!
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Any specific place you want to be?  Uptown, downtown, midtown?

As mentioned, hotwire is a good site to try to get a decent hotel at a resonable price.

What airport are you flying out of?  I'd recommend getting a hotel by the airport (theres several) a lot of them offer free taxi/shuttle to the airport

Wow, how did you get that rate!?  I will refrain from telling Rich!

Plus they have Norma's there.  The best breakfast in NYC. (For me at least)

I stayed at the Howard Johnson's at Penn Station for $127, taxes included.  This is their internet rate.  They are on  W 34 St near Popeye's.

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.
