Nothing ever worked for the heartburn I had when pregnant with Philip - so I was one of those Sleeping With Gaviscon people - at least it was temprary relief!
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

Gaviscon sure gets around, doesn't he? Isn't he that rugby player dating Charlotte Church?  ;)  (oh, oh, don't look now but someone somewhere is thinking, Hmmmm, Gaviscon, that's a nice name for a wee boy....)

The Boots heartburn relief works as well as Gaviscon and is much, much cheaper.

Or get your doctor to write you a perscription and get it for free! That's what I did.

18 December.  Aillidh was born at 38 weeks, 3 days, so here's hoping this one shows up in advance of date as well.

Bump is getting so big already.

Nah.  They don't tell you here.  I went private last time and they got the sex wrong, anyhow.

But it is kinda lame.  Went to Next today to get some wellies for Aillidh and they had all these cute baby clothes.

I get most the kids clothes at Next. They are nice and a decent price. I think you'll have a girl :)
Wish it was me!!!

I had it so bad, that I was constantly throwing up while pregnant, but I'd had a history of indegestion proir to my pregnancy. While I was pregnant, I would wake in the middle of the night, choking on it, and have to get up and hurl. Finally, in the last few months of my pregnancy, they prescribed me medication to control it, (heartburn pills) they said it would not harm the baby in the later stages, and my constant vomiting would probably do more damage. It was a wonderful relief. I had already for months, been sleeping sitting up, against one of those big v-shaped pillows, but that was partly because my son hated when I slept on my side, and would kick like mad!!!! Until I turned on my back, then he would quieten down. My point, it was so bad, they had to put me on medication, for the last 6 weeks or so.

I think you'll have a girl :)

We'll just have to wait and see, but when I went for an emergency scan at 23 weeks, the ultrasonographer got to the money shot, and just as our eyes realised where she was, she was outta there like a shot!  She examined the rest of the organs in the baby's lower abdomen from the back.  She wouldn't let us see between the legs again from the front.

It's definitely a second pregnancy, b/c this baby is riding SO high.  Much, much higher than Aillidh.  And I'm only pregnant in front, which is absolute hell on my back.  W/Aillidh, I was preggo all over.  My hair and face have also turned into an oil slick, which is weird b/c my hair was like straw w/Aillidh and my skin parched.

The heartburn is likely b/c I have a very short torso, so the baby takes up a lot of room.

Sounds like a boy to me. With girls you seem to spread out and look pregnant even from behind and with boys it's more all up front....like you're smuggling a basketball. :P No...it's not a scientific method of determining the baby's sex but it's always worked for me.  ;)

I had four sons and carried different with all of them.
I also have a very short torso. Jack was delivered at 38 weeks and was just 2 oz short of 11 lbs so you can imagine how uncomfortable I was.  :o
