I saw Gary Rhodes!

At his new place, Rhodes W1 when we ate there last night!

He was right next to our table, and i'm gonna admit it, i was majorly starstruck.

The food at this place, and the service was TOP NOTCH.  I highly reccomend it for someone who wants a spin on traditional english foods and have a bit of dough to drop.  It wasn't as bad as i thought, it was the drinks that killed us!!!!!!!!

i had to have a meal i watched him cook on the show!!!

skate wing in lemon butter with capers.  it was HEAVEN.  That and some beans and some new potatoes (tossed in olive oil and salt methinks)

i couldn't believe he was 4 feet from me!!!!!

and the cosmo was the best i've had....ever.  Gary knows his shizat!

I spotted Rick Stein outside his place in Padstow last  month!! The BF wouldn't let me scream, "Hi, Rick!" though. :(

The skate wing sounds deeeelish!! Lucky you!!!

i'm happy i tried it, now i know i can make it at home! (i was leary of the bones, but know i'll be fine!)

Oh, I love skate wing.  And it is easy to make at home, Aimiloo!  Just make sure you buy it VERY fresh - otherwise the stink is unbelievable!!

My 11-year-old son loves Gary Rhodes - watches the cooking shows at the weekends instead of the "kids programming."  One day... :D

he's my kinda kid peedal!!!!!  get them started early!  :)

i'm a big fan, and i'm happy to say his hair was a lot shorter, but still trademark spikey!

he runs a tight ship there i must say, then again it's only a month or so old

you know you can do a day out at River Cottage with Hugh...I'm getting tickets to one of his events for my MIL for Christmas..she loves him

I adore Rick Stein. I'm always saying that I wish he were my dad. So tell Guy he'd have got off lucky if you'd just yelled "hi" 'cause I would have had to ask if he'd consider adopting me.  ;D
