But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

OMG NO!!! I had that with Jordan. Not sure who the sadistic bas*tard was who invented that stuff! >:(

Oh, yeah, maybe I should add that I also had some nice narcotic analgesics in my drip too...

Well to start labor (and its only if you are about ready to start anyways), we did the same thing for my daughter that worked for me. A dose of castor oil in orange juice. That and a few walks got my daughter kickstarted. Of note, my doctor told me to do it with me (she told me as a woman, not as a doctor). Once Heather's water broke (about 12 hours after taking the oil), Pictocin was used as well (lowest dose there was). Seemed to work for her- water broke at 6 am, Tyler was born at 6:23 pm!!!!

So........announcing the birth of my first grandson- Tyler Allen Ham, Wednesday October 5th!!! :)

Gotta go.........its my shift with the baby!

A dose of castor oil in orange juice.

Warning, this can give you the runs.  Badly.

44 hours of labor :o.......non-stop contractions :o........Any chance I can get a refund with this pregnancy before she comes? ;D

Nope. Sorry. You play you pay honey!   ;D
But they do say you wont remember the pain. This is true. I remember it WAS painful but I cant remember just how bad it was. So take this as a plus!

Oh, my first two sons were totally sans drugs by the way. If you get an epidural you'll be fine.

I'm looking forward to labour this time!  B/c I know at the end of it there'll be a little baby AND that I'll never have to go thru it again.   ;D

Then it will be time - to eat as much as I want and not have acid reflux or feel sick b/c my stomach is pushed up under my ribs.

And to sleep on my front.

I found that labor wasn't that bad...it was painful, but if you "embrace" the pain (tried to picture my cervix opening with each contraction) it is manageable. I didn't have any drugs (except for when I had c-section) and it is true...you WON'T remember the pain. With my second son, once I hit transition I just looked at my husband in disbelief and kept saying " I THOUGHT I remembered the pain...but now I REMEMBER exactly what this pain was!" If you DID really remember, you probably might stop at one...lol!

But, really...you'll be fine! Plus, you're stuck now...no where to go but through it!

Oh...I am getting so nostalgic and "jealous" right now! I'm really excited for you. It is an experience like no other so really "enjoy" it (I know that sounds silly!)

Cervix opening with each contraction?! OUCH! I think I just remembered the pain!

Don't get your hopes up about it just being two weeks, it might be longer  >:D

That last ten days (overdue) was awful. My husband was a wreck. He did not think the child would come out this side of Christmas.

Anyway, don't worry about the contractions, they don't last forever, you get them done and they're over. It's the next few months that are really hell. Heh, heh, heh. I'm coming on four months now and I haven't had a full night's sleep since. Good luck with the first two weeks.

Oohh I'm so glad I'm not pregnant anymore. Even though I really enjoyed it this time around.

Order groceries or furniture to be delivered. You will definitely go into labour that day.  Eating a really hot curry at the same time will help. And have a good shag.  ;D
