Do you miss Fritos crisps ?
« on: October 14, 2005, 11:31:03 PM »
I noticed that expat_in_scotland was looking for them !

https://www.biltong.co.uk/index.html

Go here, look under Online shops - then go to sweet shop and define the results in the top right hand corner (near the top of the green box!) look under chips

This shop  I use for so many of the products I miss from SA, and we also use some of the US online shops for things we miss that we have had in the USA !! http://www.letseatdirect.com/

You can buy the BBQ flavor and the Tomato one for £1.40 !! Ok it is made in SA but believe me it tastes the same as the US ones - I love them !!

Wow - never seen that shop on-line, mind you the SA's are lucky here in the UK they have shops all over.

They do have some yummy products - and I know here they also sell Lays crisps with the flavor of "Biltong" which is really a SA version of jerky ....

I am going to Sainsbury's tomorrow to see if they sell Fluff as it's on my mind - so gonna make a Skippy and Fluff sandwhich for breakfast !  :P

I myself prefer the Tomato flavor !

We had a guy from the corporate office, in Scotland, visit this week.  He did some food shopping here and we shipped it back for him.  One of the things was Fritos.

Mmmm!  It's dandy tasting.  I've been craving chilli, especially now I saw jalapenos in a jar in Tesco, so I made sure to buy a pack of mince at the farmer's market today.  Scrummy stuff!  Gonna break out the slow cooker tonight and get it going on.

Mmmmmmmm, Frito-Pie!! ;D

Does anyone remember the chili-cheese flavour Fritos? They were the best!

I think one of my faves growing up was tucking fritos corn chips inside my ham and cheese sandwich..Yum-yum!

Is it weird that I'm craving corn chips for breakfast? lol  :)
