Wacky Warehouse!!
« on: October 23, 2005, 07:59:12 PM »
How could I have been here three years, and just now discovered it??? ??? My son loves it, and it's a great place to take him to play, especially when it's raining! Why don't these places advertise? And you can order great pub food to eat while your child is playing. And they let you bring your own drinks and snacks in......how great is that? One of my biggest complaints is how back home, the McDonalds and Burger Kings and such, have play areas for children, indoors even! Why don't they do that here....I'm not saying it's good to feed your child that food, but occasionally, it's convienent, and they get to play for free.

Our McDonalds has one of those huge play areas also several of the pubs across the city have them. Recently they built a new Brewers Fayre which has a really nice one!

So far as I can tell, they are attached to a pub, but seperate entrances, or sometimes a completely different building.  There is an eating area, you can order from the wacky warehouse kids menu, and you can also order the pub food, and eat it in the warehouse. The play areas differ, we've been to two so far, they charge 2 pounds for an hour of play, but mon-fri, they have a tot time, two times a week, for 2 pounds fifty, one adult and one child can play for 2 hours, with free juice and biscuits for the kids, and free tea, or coffee for the adult. Oh! And the play areas have two sections, one for under fives, and one for over. And the adults are allowed to go play too..... ;D, just gotta remove your shoes!!

I found their website but there are none near us, would explain why I'd never heard of them. Pity, it sounds good fun!

Kent.  Apparently our nearest one is 40 miles away in Essex.  Shame, we really need something like that around here.
