Just curious, what candy do you miss most from "home" if you've left one side of the ocean for another?  ;D

When in the UK: I miss Peanut Butter M&M's

When in the US: I miss Aero bars and all the different kids of Cadbury.

;D Was in ATL this past weekend and found a British store there...stocked up on the Aero's and Blackcurrant!!!  ;D AND I found out that they will ship food to anywhere in the USA!  ;D )

Oh I love peanut butter M&Ms! I used to eat those and beef jerky at least once a month for lunch. Talk about nutrition  ;D I haven't tried Aero bars before.

They are sooo good. Kinda bubbley/fluffy in the middle....yum! I'm trying to make mine last.....only a bit a day then back in the fridge!

When I was living in the UK, my mom sent PB M&M's to me all the time. But then my Manchester friends all got addicted to them too so I had to start hoarding them!  :P

I missed See's candy (Godiva of the west coast I like to call it) when I was overseas. It's a special treat with fond childhood memories. I had a friend from WA I met in Kenya who actually SHARED her See's gift box (one piece, but it was a bit o' heaven out in the bush) with me because she knew I would appreciate it. Any other See's fans out there know what I am talking about?

We had Cadbury but it was atrocious... different recipe I was told.  :P

Im from California, so i do remember See's, but it doesnt stand out to me as anything special.  I used to hate the See's shops... they seemed so weird to me, and i didnt like that evil-looking portrait of Mary See staring down at me...   so maybe i've just got a mental block against See's!  ;)

That's why I said it was from fond childhood memories, we weren't allowed candy when I was a kid so going to See's on those rare occasions when mom bought a box as a gift were special... the free samples, the overwhelming smell, the sterile white store... and yes, grandma's picture is vividly etched in my head too!

Ghiradelli's chocolate river also brings some fond childhood memories.

So does the old lady who used to work at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk at the taffy pulling place near the arcade. We used to push our noses up against the glass watching her make chocolates.

Sometimes I really miss Cap'n Crunch cereal (all varieties, but especially peanut butter!).  Most of the time, though, I'm really glad that I can't find it here because I'd eat the entire box in one sitting if I could!   ;)

The only thing I miss is a box of Chocolate Chiffon from a local shop...it's a peanut butter chocolate thing that just melts in your mouth.  It can only be found in Plains, PA.  But I never really ate it all that much - just at holidays...so it's not missed a lot.

If you are talking the shop in Norcross I know which one you mean... though if you travel up the road a bit to Harry's/Whole Foods they have a British section too and it's cheaper!  -though they don't ship.

Also www.expatshopping.biz is good for UK products in the USA.
