Windsor UK
« on: October 31, 2005, 09:16:53 PM »
Had a lovely weekend in Windsor. Took a boat around for a 45 min spin, walked around the tiny area of Eton (great antiques).  Did a bit of shopping, a lot of eating.  Dropped in to the castle where the queen was in residence for the weekend.

A great trip, 13 quid round trip train ticket from Paddington. Stayed at the Castle Inn (a MacDonald Hotel) that was nice but the planes.  Oy the planes!  Direct flight path to Heathrow got a bit old and the double glazing wasn't as good as i wanted.

anyway some pictures to share.  i recommend it for a day get a way or a weekend.  and for the chilins, legoland!

Yeah, Windsor's not a bad place, except the traffic around there is absolutely horrendous!
I tried to open the link you posted but all it showed was a baby in a Halloween outfit in a stroller.

i felt like such a jackaZZ standing next to that guard....but my husband made me do it.  thought i could take advantage of the accent and really play tourist.

i mumbled underneath my breath that i was sorry and that i was embarassed to him.  :)

It was second picture when you "leaned" in next to the guard that made me remember my picture just like that. Why do we do that? We don't know this person and want to finish asap... what about our little personal space bubble?
