OMG I LOVED Tell No One.  Loved it.  My husband bought it for me for sticking to my Lenten diet.

Curious to see what you think of it. I wasn't impressed and also had to watch in 2 parts.

The Muppets Take Manhattan

Classic!!!!

I watched 21 a few days ago. (It was on Sky)  I need to read the book now.

I'm planning to watch a few movies tonight if I can find them
Dazed and Confused and The Thing called Love.  Maybe Dogfight too.

Sleuth (Michael Caine, Jude Law), a remake of a 1972 film in which Caine was the younger character....I think I must have seen that version as it seemed very familiar. Well acted.

I LOVED both of these... which really surprised me, especially Baader-Meinhof - not my typical type of film (or so I thought).  I was riveted.

Which is interestingly connected to my latest favorite film, almost of all time, it was THAT GOOD:
The Lives of Others

Oh. My. Word.  What a beautiful, moving, powerful and wonderful, wonderful film.
I cannot stop thinking about it.

(the connection is they're both German, but also, the woman who played Ulrike Meinhof played the lead in this film.)

Oooooh, I loved The Lives of Others!!!! That was SUCH an amazing film. Another one that I really loved was The Reader. Did you like it? If you like those other films, I believe you would like it, if you haven't seen it already.

Last night we watched Miss Potter... I LOVED IT!!!!!!! (about Beatrix Potter) I just love those English period dramas (Pride and Prejudice, Brideshead Revisited, etc). Even DH really liked it, and he doesn't normally enjoy those types of films very much. It was just lovely.  :)

I own The Lives of Others, but I haven't watched it yet.  My husband bought it for me completely randomly.

I thought it was pretty good... but not my favourite. It did seem to go on a bit long for me, and I was confused by some of the minor characters who later became prominent - I couldn't keep them straight or remember who they were from the beginning of the film. Overall, I did find it interesting, but I've seen several really good films lately, so it kind of paled in comparison to some of the others. (Especially watching it just after Tell No One, which was so good.)
