Some Like It Hot -- I love, love, love this classic comedy & it was great sharing it with DH who had not seen it before.  Tony Curtis & Jack Lemmon in drag, and the lovely Marilyn...does it get any better?  <sigh>

... not to mention THE BEST last line of a movie, ever! ;D

Derailed - with Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston.  Clive is soooo hot in that movie!!!!  [smiley=smitten.gif]

I just watched that one too on my flight home. Good movie.

Today it was Saw 2. Wow, very good if you like gruesome, freaky movies.  :-\\\\

True true!  The DVD has a couple cool special features too -- an interview between Leonard Malton & (an aged) Tony Curtis, plus a little feature on the 'Sweet Sues' with 4 of the women who were in 'the band'.  Those two little extras gave behind the scenes dirt, etc so I enjoyed that too.  Incidentally, the American Film Institute (whoever 'they' are) voted Some Like It Hot as the greatest comedy of all time.

ETA:  I think Marilyn's performance is simply amazing in this film!  Particularly in consideration that her life was beginning to fall apart when the film was made.

Nobody's perfect! :D

(There's a dialogue build-up to the last line -- so you'd have to see the movie to 'get it'.  Don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it.)

El Crimen del Padre Amaro   [smiley=bleck.gif]

I think I picked this movie because Gael García Bernal is in it.  I found most of the characters utterly despicable, but I guess that was the point...  Blah.

The Aristocrats.  It's been a long time since I've laughed so much during a film.  Loved it!!! [smiley=laugh3.gif]

Um, Paperback Hero. :-\\\\

A silly old romcom with my beloved Hugh.  Only reason to watch it.  But it is watchable, unlike Van Helsing... which I couldn't even sit through. :P

The Interpretor

I actually liked Sean Penn in that movie, Nicole Kidman was, of course, very good.

I saw Rent based on the broadway musical. Made me cry a lot at the end. I got it for the mushy love song "I'll Cover You" and I like to torment my honey with it. >:D
