Hiccups
« on: November 14, 2005, 08:51:11 PM »
Did any of your little ones have loads of hiccups in utero?

Aillidh had tons.  She even had them during labour.

This one has started up w/them, and it's so weird b/c it's way down low as the baby is head down.

Hmmm . . . perhaps another girl?   :D ;)

I had tons with both of mine.  Jonah still gets them a lot.  It's making me broody again thinking about it.

 :o

I've already put it in my birth plan that if I need a C-section, my tubes are to be tied whilst I am on the table.  Otherwise, Andrew's got his consult appointment to schedule his vasectomy.   ;D

The Chinese calendar says it's a boy.  Hmm.  It was right for Aillidh, it was the scan that was wrong.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Just a vibe I'm getting.  But of course, only time will tell...   8)

It was spot on for me w/the little Cheeser, as she's known.

This baby is MUCH more active than its laid-back sister, however.  Especially at night.

The Chinese calendar said I would have boys.....

Daughter2 was WAY more active than #1 was....#1 used to just lie there and hiccup.  With #2, I used to be able to see her little fists and feet as she'd punch and kick.  It got to where I'd start pushing back on her fists...she didn't like that much!  ;D

You're in the home stretch now, expat!!!

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

This one just likes to move the entire bump and kick my diaphragm and stomach.  AND hiccup.  Aillidh liked to touch my bladder from the inside.

I just keep telling myself, 'You only have to do this ONE more time and then you'll be able to zip up your boots again and your ankles will at last be warm.'   36 weeks and counting here . . .  :D

OK. I think she will have the baby on 22 Dec. Let the guessing game begin.
A girl born on 22 Dec (wee hours of the morning) She will be just over 8lbs and you will name her Pebbles! LOL

It's due 18 December and is already 3/5 engaged.  Cheeser was 38 weeks + 2 days.  I see the consultant tomorrow but if my blood pressure stays elevated, like it did the last time, but stable, they'll induce in week 39, which means baby will arrive sometime in the week of 12 December.  I'll only be allowed to go to due date if my blood pressure has come down.

If it's a girl she'll be called Roisin Louise.  We haven't really chosen a hard and fast boy name, however.

Which makes me think that you're having a girl.  I think that it's a sixth sense thing - you fall in love with a name because subconsciously you know that's what sex the baby will be.  Or, at least that's my silly little theory.  ;)

I hope you don't have to be induced, but if you do I hope it goes well, relatively painless and QUICKLY.  :)

We had no names chosen for a girl last time.  And got a wee girl.  So nah, I don't think the 6th sense theory holds much water for me.  I don't have a 'feeling' one way or another as to what it is.  I personally feel boys names are just harder to come up with.  There's more choice w/girls names, IME.

I'm hoping to go into labour naturally again this time.  Last time, I was also scheduled for induction due to elevated bp, but went naturally at 38 weeks + 2 days, so here's hoping.  Have been getting rather painful twinges today, but dunno what those are from.  Maybe baby's head is just dropping more.
