Transplanted Texan Thriving in Staffordshire

Hi Everyone!

I moved from Texas to just north of Stoke-on-Trent not quite two years ago.  Still love it here, but do get the occasional blue day missing my family.  My husband has been terrific helping me to adjust, and to figure out how to use different washers, and track down elusive items at the supermarkets.  Shame I didn't find this site some time ago!

 You arent too far from my Step-Daughter then,she lives in Newcastle-Under-Lyme ;) Dont you just love the under and over bit , ;D  LOL.
 Aww bless your hubby,it always helps when you have support in any suitation,esp from the ppls you love the most.
I will be back over in about 6 months,but will be a wee bit further up north from you :-[

Hi Melissa :)  I'm from Stephenville, about 60 miles southwest of Fort Worth, bills itself as the Cowboy Capital of the World.

Well I definitely know where Fort Worth is..been there a few times. :) It's amazing how big Texas is isn't it? We're both from Texas but it's a good 5 hour drive between our hometowns. And that's relatively close compared to the 12 1/2 hour drive from here (Houston) to El Paso. :o
