expat's flower in scotland

it's a girl!

sorry, one-handed typing here.

guess the 'contraction-like' pains were contractions.

woke at 6am and had long shower and paracetemol.

woke andrew at 7 and phoned community midwife, who never phoned back!

by 8.30 we asked in-laws to come round for aillidh.

9, MIL suggested we just go to hospital.  got there at 9.45 and i was in a bad way.  so they took me straight up.  i was 9cm dilated!  too late for drugs!  man, that really sucked!

roisin louise was born at 10.26am - 6lbs., 0oz. and 44cm.  tiny, blue-eyed dead ringer for her daddy. i survived w/only a graze.

care at ERI excellent but you must still bring everything.

we were released home at 9pm.  roisin is very snuggly baby, so glad we have sling, swaddle blanket and other accessories.

so happy it's a girl!  didn't want to jinx it, but was secretly hopeful.

she's a wee dote who is a contented baby so long as she is close to someone.
