Inconvenient Annoyances
« on: December 26, 2005, 04:21:18 PM »
Ok I thought I'd give this a try. This is an opposite topic of the Unexpected Pleasures.
Figured a lot of people have small annoyances or grievances during the day that they'd like to get off their chest.

Today mine is:
Dale and I have been together for almost 2 years and still my FIL doesn't remember that my name isn't spelled with an 'E'

I don't like romance books.  So why does MIL keep giving them to me?! :-\\\\

Dust gathers on the little ledges that are tiled in our bathroom quicker than flies on sh*t!!! It's so annyoing to walk into a bathroom that I've just clean a couple days ago and see dusty spots! Why are the bathrooms here seemingly dirtier quicker?

That is one thing I love!  No pressure to go anywhere, do anything.  It's great.   :)

My little town wasnt closed today... went to shops, pubs & bookies!  :)

Along the same lines as EY... i have been married to my DH for almost 8 years, and my family STILL spell his name 'Neal' instead of 'Neil'.
Who the f*ck spells it 'Neal'?!?  >:(

Great idea for a thread!

People who drive slow in the 'fast' lane as well as flatlanders who insist on driving ridiculously slowly on the 'dangerous' curvy bits of mountain roads, but who then speed up on the straight stretches so you can't pass them. Flatlanders, go home! Grrrr.  ;D

BINGO!  But it was good that the corner shop was open because we were low on bread and milk.

I can sympathise.  I can see many years of Niall being spelt as Nail.  ::)

Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

I like this, too...with the exception of when it comes to buses.  We can't go over to Jamie's mother's for her annual Boxing Day feast (therefore missing her famous homemade tiramisu) because there are no buses running.  It sucks not having a car.
I was born in the Summer and at Night...my mother named me AUTUMN DAWN.  True story.

Jamie's...beyond the stars and past eternity.

EMAIL or PM me for information about gigs or about booking me (solo gig) or the band.

I've known Phil and his family for over 5 years yet I always forget his Nan's surname even though I get told countless times. I also forget how his nieces names are properly spelled.

I also forget to stop saying "God" in front of his mother ...taking the lord's name in vain ..you don't do that in front of a vicar.. :-[

mine is :

we've just spent 24 days of December buying and spending in shops yet on Dec 25th we've got to spend the day bombarded by "AFTER CHRISTMAS SALES EVENT!!" adverts ...can we get ONE day off ...feck's sakes.

We went to town centre today, and it was a NIGHTMARE of crowds shopping like mad.  BUT, I still managed to bag a cool pair of shoes on sale in Office.   :D ;)  If stuff was closed, I didn't notice.

Ooh, now I know what to do to annoy all you moutain folk the next time I drive up to visit my cousins!  ;D

If you want to run errands and take the boy with you, just SAY SO.  Don't look at me and say "Would it be easier for you if I took him with me or would you like...?"  Yeah, like I'm going to turn down 45 minutes in the house alone. ::)
