We were gonna have a BBQ this evening.  Spoke to DH on the phone about 2-3 hours ago:  It's really clouding up outside - I hope it doesn't rain.

DH:  It's not going to rain.

It's raining.  :(

He wanted me to 'be spontaneous' and do the BBQ last night, except I was too knackered because we'd done a 5-mile hike in the heat yesterday.  (He likes me to 'man' the BBQ.)  We should have done it last night.  :-\\\\

While at the gym this afternoon I was having some horrible stomach pains so I only did a bit of cardio & most of my weights then I as I was leaving the gym I started feeling better typical.  ::)  :P   so I walked back to the car an waited I rolled down the 2 front windows all the way & the back 2 windows only a smidge just enough to circulate the air I had a book in the car that I read that while waiting for Dh to get off work. well when Dh got to the car he tried to roll up the back windows 1 rolled up just fine the other window wouldn't roll up at all but then it did work but only down then it fell off track. so I had to do a quick shop while Dh waited in the car ASDA of course was heaving of people. I only got the essentials an figured we would go later on this week for anything else we need. so when we got home Dh tried for like 45 mins to an hour trying to get the panel off but it wouldn't come off the screw we think is stripped just lovely. so we put 2 trash bags over the window an Dh is taking it to the local garage in the morning to get it fixed another expense we don't need grrr!!  [smiley=furious3.gif]  [smiley=beadyeyes.gif]

Pretty sure someone attempted to rob my BF's house yesterday while I was home.

My BF popped in after work just to get an umbrella and then quickly go get some toilet roll at the corner shop.  The guy must have been sitting in his car and saw that BF hadn't locked the door when he left.

I heard a hard knock at the door and when I saw it wasn't one of the kiddo's friends I didn't answer it.  I never answer the door if I'm not expecting someone, I've lived in rough neigborhoods and it's just a rule I have for myself.  The guy knocked again, then waited a few seconds and OPENED THE DOOR.  Luckily the dog was standing right there and started barking at him like crazy.

The guy quickly shut the door and was gone.  I was shocked.  I went to have a look but I couldn't see him, just a car pulling away which may or may not have been him.

All I kept thinking was thank god we have the dog here.  Otherwise I would have been standing face to face with an intruder.  Needless to say I'm making sure that door is locked when I'm at his. :-\\\\

I've got the lurgy.  :( DH has a sinus and chest infection, and now I have the same symptoms he first had, so I'm not sure if it's a horrible cold that turned into an infection or what. I'm losing my voice. I tried to make a dr's appt but they said I should wait another day or two to see if I need to come in or not. Meanwhile, I feel like crap and want to be home in bed, but felt I couldn't call in sick because DH is at home sick and we were both on holiday last week, so they would really think we were taking the mick. (We work at the same place, for those who don't know.)  :\\\'( I think I may have to go play up my illness and see if I can go home early today or something.  :-\\\\

Good news- baby isn't breech.

Bad news- baby is tranverse/ oblique lie and if he doesn't change position, I will need to be admitted Thursday (37 weeks) UNTIL he is born.

I have an eight yr old and a five year old and my husband is starting a new job- not really the best time to spend 2-3 weeks in hospital.

Baby, please carefully change position.  Please. :)

Good luck Grace!

My IA: These new neighbours who just moved in a few weeks ago, above me aren't very considerate, at all.  They're having a big party again (on a Tuesday, FFS!!!  >:( >:( >:( >:()  and slamming the front/back doors with people in and out and leaving cheap cider bottles in the shared garden space - which means of course they're partying right outside my bedroom windows. I don't dare leave the windows open when I'm sleeping and in this weather it sucks!!!

Agreed.

Mine is getting all excited about a possible gig, but after three emails and many calls not getting through (I've triple checked that the number is right) I haven't heard anything back yet.

Uggh... co-worker is pissing me off something fierce. He's stressed. I'm stressed. He thinks he's being helpful.  I think he's making me even more stubborn to get something right without his help.  Not good.

Our new, expensive to us, duvet cover is practically ruined. DH washed it without reading the instructions. It's on our Next account and we are still paying for it, technically. I was about to get the curtains to match it.  :\\\'( Just got a new bedside table and some small decorations and the room was going to look so good once the weather cooled off enough to put the good bedding back on.  >:(
