Krispy Kreme - gone forever?

I just got back from a visit with my family in the Philly area.
All the KK shops in that area seem to have recently closed, along with the ones in Delaware.
Has anyone else from other areas experienced this?
I never even got one!  I told my friends I'd have to go back to England to
satisfy my craving!! ;D

Here in NC Krispy Kreme is alive and well...thank God! I know that they are still operational in La., as well.

Back in December I heard they were in a lot of financial trouble. Maybe they are just cutting back on stores that were less profitable?

Just checked their website (yes I know I am sad)...they are still alive in well in NY and Maryland and a few in PA are still around. I know in my area of PA they didn't do so well.

On a side note: They are now selling Krispy Kreme merchandise on their website---t-shirts, coffee mugs etc.

There is one of them less than a mile away from my house here in Knoxville. It's alway got tons of cars in front of it.

Oh my!  My heart just skipped a beat!!!  I thought I smelled the one near my sister in NYC a few weeks ago.  (The smell alone makes me gain a stone!) I used to walk by a few times a day sometimes to get my fill!!!

Another saddo here! I checked, too! It looks as though the one in Rhode Island is still there -- unless the website isn't up-to-date. But ... I was in RI a couple of months ago and totally forgot to go to Krispy Kreme!! Could it be that it's out of my system?? If you'd asked me a year or so ago, that would have been really high on my Things To Do list!

I've been to 3 KK's here in the UK...the one in Harrods, Birmingham and outer London. They're also opening one in Oxford in March ;D aaaaaand since I'm going to Oxford in April I'll be calling by that one too! lol

No donuts compare!!

OMG....you know I'm going to contact Lush and KK and suggest they band together for a combo store ...I'm need to buy shares on those two shops!!
