WHO CAN SPONSOR ????

I was wondering if anyone can sponsor someone coming to the UK for settlement.

When my partner applies for the spouses visa, would it make a difference if it was my brother that was the sponsor of my partner rather than myself? My brother is in a more stable situation to sponsor.

What information would still be needed from me as his partner but not his sponsor?
What information would my Brother have to submit for the application?

You will be the sponsor, but your brother can be a cosponsor if he'll be providing you with financial support or a place to live, etc.

This is more or less right.  There can only be one 'sponsor', and there is no such thing as a 'cosponsor' really.  In your case, your name would be on the form as the person that your partner is coming over to be with, but you will include your brother's financial documents and a supporting letter from him stating that he will be helping out.
