I am in Dundee, Scotland. I want some crispy corn tacos with grilled spicy beef, Chihuaha cheese, fresh chopped jalapenos, and both red and green salsa on top, with a side of black beans, RIGHT NOW. Gaah. I am fiending for this stuff!!

I wish you luck in your search.  If you do find some excellent mexican food, do let me know.

It's the never-ending quest of the American in Britain.

My honest suggestion (not taking the piss, I'm quite serious) - source the ingredients (e.g. Lupe Pintos) and get yourself some recipes. My experience has been that you just can't get authentic Mexican food in restaurants here - and believe me I've tried!

i've had mexican twice in england and each time i've been more than disappointed.  by all means try- and tell us if you find anything of worth- but Anne's suggestion is a good one.
If you harbour bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

You can definitely make it better than what is found in the UK.  Trust me.  ;)

aye, but there's nothing like looking round the shop!
the girl that works in there is really nice and chatty, and it's fun to listen to her trying to give Mexican cookery lessons to the poor unsuspecting Scots that wander in!  ;)

the one in Glasgow is nowhere near the Immigration place, but still... it's worth a visit.  :)
The staff in there arent quite as amusing as the Edinburgh one, though.

We'll be checking it out no matter what. I'll buy some prepared stuff and some staples to cook my own, and maybe that cookbook!

I love my Mexican cookbook, it's The Practical Encyclopaedia of Mexican Cooking by Jane Milton. It has a big section at the front explaining the ingredients and a bit of history behind the food and the recipes are all step by step and really easy to follow.

I wish you luck...we went to the village pub a few weeks ago and ordered the nachos...
We received a bowl of nacho (or some sort of cheese) cheese doritos with cheddar cheese melted on top.  A bit of salsa and a side salad accompanied it.  :(
