I got suckered into eating white pudding with breakfast once. And the worst part is that I liked it. I shall NEVER live that down considering I made a VERY big to-do about black pudding and how I would never eat it....  ::)

What are minced collops?

Ground beef and onions with oatmeal and beef stock-the oatmeal soaks up the stock, and then you add worcestershire sauce too.  Looovely.

There's nothing yukky in white pudding, though...

I tried haggis once, for Robbie Burns day.  Even though I was a vegetarian, I just thought I should.  It tasted OK!  The only problem was...

Haggis burps.  For days.

Where I am now, I think I should try whale meat...  but I'm worried about whale burps.

Sorry, I don't know what  PMSL means...

But yeah, niku means meat.

Yakiniku = fried meat

Toriniku= chicken meat... often served as Yakitori= fried chicken (tori only means 'bird', really... but usually chicken.)

Sakuraniku= horse meat, usually served raw

Now THAT was a shocker!  It looks a lot nicer than whale, but I still couldn't eat it.

i know it means meat in japanese, you wizwads!  :P

but you'll note the numeral "2" at the end of the "niku"--it's kind of a package deal, since i'm a massive fan of the irish band ;)

also, irony is my friend ;D

Guess what I just found in the pantry:

HAGGIS IN A CAN.

Husband reports it was in his Christmas stocking from his mum.
