Good News!!

This morning I received my passport back with my FLR stamp in it!! It is the most wonderful feeling, because we have traveled and moved so much and now I feel like I really have a home!

We filed as opposite sex Unmarried Partners and have been waiting on pins and needles about our application since we originally sent it in September 2005. We were asked to submit further evidence in December, and have been waiting since.

This is the best Valentine's Day present I could think of!!

Great news, congratulations! I'm going to do my ILR by post to save a bit of cash and I'm REALLY not looking forward to that wait!!!

Thank you all for your good wishes!

In a brave move, a couple of weeks ago, we booked plane tickets to go to the U.S. at the end of March. I just found out that my uncle is quite ill and the urgency to go became even greater, also, I haven't seen my family since last May and that is a very long time for me. So, now I can breath an even bigger sigh of relief. I really get to go home!  :)
