coffee percolators
« on: February 27, 2006, 08:30:12 AM »
I want one, you know the kind you use while camping, or in a caravan, usually they are stainless steel, and sit on the stove. I hate instant coffee, and when we moved last, we left the coffee maker behind. Which is just as well, don't think I have room for another appliance on my counter!! Does anyone know where I could buy a percolator? I imagine I could try a camping store, but was thinking that a regular store might have them as well.

We got ours in a camp store called Black's.  It was pretty cheap, too.

Have you considered a french press?

I have a one cup size I keep on my desk at work and just love it. :)

I don't know what a french press is, here I go off to do a search. But I really like percolators, reminds me of vacationing with my family, mom always had one in the trailer. I love the sound they make! :D

I got mine from there for about...I want to say £10...but I cant remember for certain. At first I was mourning the loss of a 'real coffeepot'..but once I got the hang of it I realized I made better coffee with that thing then I did with an electric pot ;) I miss it now...but only a couple more weeks until we are reunited ;)
