Good Kings Cross Station Meeting Point?
« on: March 02, 2006, 12:19:12 AM »
Can anyone recommend a very visible and identifiable location within the Kings Cross Train Station to meet someone? My friend is going to meet me there, but I don't know a place that we can easily meet up...we won't have cell phones or anything to contact each other so it would have to be an easy to find spot... :-\\\\

I could just watch for her train to come in and then catch her as she comes off the platform into the main area, but there are too many factors that might happen where I'd miss her...

Thanks! :)

The ticket window at Kings X is an easy area to meet up.
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

In front of WH Smiths in the main concourse is good.  To be honest, the main area of Kings Cross, by the departures board, is not that big anyway.

I've never been to King Cross TBH, but I always tell someone to meet at a certain gate number when I'm in Waterloo.

Victoria is right, the front of the station is really small.  The WH Smith is a good place, or the Burger King.

There is also a pub on the mezannine level directly about WH Smith. So you can enjoy a pint while looking down at the crowds for your friend!
