Our second wedding!

I really wanted to have our "proper" wedding at Disney in Florida. It'll cost about £11,000 and we don't have that kind of money. We were putting it off until we do save up and would have been saving forever... My aunt sent me an email a few days ago inviting Jamie and I to Mexico next Thanksgiving with my family. My grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and my mom. There will be 15 of us there. My mom had the idea that we have our wedding ceremony there, since we'll all be together. We really liked that idea, so we've decided to go for that. We're going to see who's going to come over for it so everyone can finally meet. I's going to cost SO much less than a Disney wedding, and I'm really liking the sound of a wedding on the beach.
I'm so excited about this. Has anyone else gotten married or had their vows renewed in Mexico?

Great idea.  My friend had her wedding in Mexico, I could not make it, but I heard it was great. (This is maybe 5 years ago)

What a lovely idea!  We haven't done ours in Mexico but we leave on the 22nd march to go to Nashville to renew our vows with all our family and friends.  CANNOT wait.   

Second weddings are so much fun....none of the pressure and I got to write the whole ceremony which is being officiated by a very dear friend.  We're really looking forward to it, and it's a great excuse to get people together that we've lost touch with a little bit in the last five years.
