My mom is a big fan of Jodi Picoult but I haven't gotten into her work... I read one book but didn't think it was that great so I don't know whether to give her another chance or not.

i initially read My Sister's Keeper...which was very touching.  but what i like about the book (besides the content) was her writing style.  each chapter is from the view point of each of the major characters...it's like having multiple books in one.  but i think it might be one of those things one either hates or loves....  i loved it.  vanishing acts is written in the same way....but i'm not sure if her other books are....

Yeah the one I read was like that and I guess it's not that I didn't like the book but the story just wasn't about what I thought it would be. I thought it would be more about the human element of it but it took a shocking turn which I just thought was overdramatized and wasn't expecting the book to be like that.
