I have only found brown eggs here on the Isle of Man!  Have gotten used to them but when I'm back home, I enjoy my white ones!   :)

Growing up we always had brown eggs and I like the way they color. Very muted. The dyed white ones seem really loud/garish sometimes. Just me I suppose.  :D

This is so funny, I've never seen a white egg here, and I've never thought to look for one. I actually threw the paas kit away that my sis sent me, thinking it would not work on the brown eggs!

DH muttered something about the types of hens in your local area or something...

that's okay before I moved here I never heard of a double yolk egg (though I know they sell them in the USA)...

I still think the nice pastel colored eggs or some of the fancy Fortum & Mason ones would look nice to dye and play with... if not expensive...

at this stage I am going on a white egg mission too!

Oh my lord, look what I found!!

We used to get colored chicks when I was young, I thought that was all too PC nowadays.

btw, I get my eggs from a guy at work who has a small farm. They are white.  Whether they are brown or white depends on the color of the hen or so that is what he told me.
He says they are no different nutrionally, but the yolks are really deep gold compared to store bought eggs and the taste is to die for. (I always thought an egg was an egg was an egg but nope there IS a big taste difference). But unfortunately I don't get to eat as many eggs as I once was allowed to.

Our Somerfield has some white eggs but not many. I think the Asda's in Aberdeen have white ones as well. I have noticed over the years that white eggs are not so common as before.

Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

For people in cities and too far from their local farm, places like Fresh and Wild sell myriad free range eggs which vary widely in taste and colour. They do big white Goose eggs too, which are lovely soft boiled with soldiers!  Yum!

When I was in Wales we went to every supermarket in the city.  Could not find white chicken eggs anywhere.  But we did find white duck eggs at the market.  They'll work in a pinch.
