I wanna go there too now!!!

Thanks CA. I believe they did some filming up in Scotland as well but of what I don't know. Then again maybe it was they had considered filming up here.
Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

That castle's on my list of 'eventuals'.

May 12 - I go to Brussels on the Eurostar :) for the weekend (first time for both!)

the following weekend - mom & dad come to London for two weeks, then go to Scotland... I fly up to Inverness to meet them, and we're driving back to Edinburgh via the West Coast (or should I say, my dad is driving)

I'm in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Australia and/or NZ for probably late 2007... any recommendations are welcome!
Hollywood, CA -> London, UK 2004
London, UK -> Long Beach, CA 2007

Best 3 1/2 years of my life!

Cool and thanks again.

The Loch Nan Uamh viaduct holds the remains of a horse and cart which fell into the concrete structure before it set.     :o  :o

Well, we spent out afternoon in Caerleon drinking in pubs!  Didnt see much else since we only stayed for 5 hours, and took the train back to Bristol.  I did meet some of hubs friends that he grew up with, most of them still live in Newport (no way would we ever live there!)

Going home to SF for two weeks in May.  And we just looked into flights to Berlin for the Love Parade in July!  YAY!

We just returned yesterday from a holiday in Spain and Gibraltar.  Hated leaving the warm, sunny weather!  :\\\'(  We head to France in June on the Brittany Ferry here in Plymouth.  When my sister comes to visit in August we will be going to Scotland for a visit with my BIL and his partner.  Then off to the US at the end of August, beginning of September.

We just got back from Miami Beach and the Fla Keys, 85 degree days, 75 degree nights, hardly a drop of rain, so lovely.  EXTREMELY windy on Miami beach for 3 days solid, what's up with that??

We hope to make a long weekend in Bruges in the next couple of months and then about a month off when baby arrives in September and my folks fly over in early October.  Then no more holidays for a long while I imagine.  We wanted to go to Rome but didn't want to fly so thought the Eurostar to Bruges would be nice.

Quarter-Gill loved the pictures of Islay, we'd love to go up to the Western Isles.  I think the Isle of Skye is probably a must do.  Is the best way to get there (from southern England) to fly to Glasgow and drive from there?

Either that, or fly to Inverness.
I haven't been to Skye myself... we always go to Islay because we've the house to borrow there, so it's easy and cheap and comfortable, cos we know it so well.
I'd love to see some of the other isles (i've only been to Islay, Jura, Mull & Arran)... maybe someday, if we ever have money.   :)
We tried a daytrip from Islay to Colonsay last year, but the crossing was cancelled due to bad weather.

Ohmigawd, we just missed you, WVGirl!  My wife and I just got back from southern Spain and Morocco. Our itinerary took us from Sevilla to Gibraltar to Tangier to Casablanca to Marrakech...overland by train, car, bus and ferry!

Incidentally, I can't say enough great things about Ryan Air (the flight from Stanstead to Sevilla left early and arrived early!), and Atlas Air, the low-cost airline subsidiary of Royal Air Morocco.  Both were fantastic airlines; I'll never fly EasyJet again!

Our future trips are going to Amsterdam and Paris with my sister-in-law and her husband (his first time out of the USA); in August we make our first trip back to the U.S. in nearly a year. We're planning on spending a week in Rehoboth Beach, Del., and the rest of the time in Baltimore and Washington.

Sounds like a great trip to Spain and Morocco, I'd really like to visit Morocco one of these days.

I spent many a year down near Rehobeth Beach, Del staying at Bethany Beach.  Love it down there and Ocean City, MD.  Are you from Baltimore, apstyle?

I'm heading to my parent's house about 30 minutes away from my home this weekend to begin my 2 week dog sitting stint.  They'll be galavanting around the country with their motor home.

Not quite as exciting as Spain - but at least I'll have cable internet.   ::)

I get to go to Mexico again! Woohoo! It's been almost a year since I've been out of the states....I'm having travel/culture withdrawls.  :) It's the first week of July.

The best part: I'm going to be chaperoning/translating, so I get to go for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
