Im having a hard time to.  I just dont like white wine.  And most reds give me a horrible headache/stomach ache.  The only red wine Ive been able to drink is a sangiovese.  Im sticking with my vodka! ;)

I quite liked some of these wines when mixed with other things... like flat ginger ale.  But i just couldnt drink them on their own.

Just went to a wine tasting last night - it was quite well done and a good way to see what kinds of varieties agree with you and which are just yuck.  Also you don't have to spend on bottles yourself and buy bottles that you might not like at all!  I really thought it was useful although I didn't take any notes so guess I'm not going to change my buying habits too much!

As long as you stop ruining good red wine by adding cola to it!   :D

Don't forget, it's almost Pimm's season.  :)

Actually, I have to admit that's the wine I cut my teeth on myself in college. My brother ridiculed me for months after I brought some to a posh dinner party though.  :P

Recently, I was out at a pub in the Chicago area, and tried a glass of Dr. Loosen white riesling.  OMG was it good!  :D  It was sweet, not acidic, and overall, went down VERY easily.  I think it's made in Germany.  Brilliant stuff  8)

Haha!  You're going to be a wino before you know it.  White Zin -- definitely a 'gateway wine'... ;) ;D

I love a nice gewürztraminer with a hot curry...but it has to be a good one.  We had a really good one awhile back that we got from our wine club, but then I got a really nasty bottle at Morrisons after that. [smiley=bleck.gif]
