Mountain Dew
« on: May 21, 2006, 07:54:49 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get Mountain Dew in the UK?  I have done a quick search online, but £1.25 for a can seems very expensive.  I was just wondering if this is what I am gonna have to pay... failing that I may just have to open up an American foods store so my guy can't complain for not having things!!!

Yeah, I remember it being out when I was in my teens, and it not tasting all that great.  I miss the clear cola too.   Oh well, looks like I will have to pay the £1.25 a can.. bummer.

I was just in at Lupe Pintos and the woman there told me that she is no longer allowed to import Mountain Dew into the UK.  Something about one of the preservatives in it being higher than permitted here.  So if you are still able to find it on websites here, stock up, because it won't be available anymore!

Argh!  I'm a caffeine junkie and what do I drink at those horrible points in the semester?  Mt. Dew.  I'd run an IV of it into my blood stream during finals if I could.  And poor df just got hooked on it while he was here.  We can't afford to keep up with my habit so I'm voluntarily switching to coke there, which is still pretty good.  He found that same website, so I think it will be our special treat for nice occasions!  I sure will miss it though!

an ex-boyfriend used to freeze the large litre bottles of Mountain Dew.  He had the timing just so, so that the water would freeze and he'd be left with this green cough syrup like liquid which he'd drink in shot glasses.  kept him awake.
