crinoline
« on: May 24, 2006, 07:25:43 AM »
I am wondering if I should get a crinoline to go under my dress...it already has some tulle under it so its not totally flat, and I do have a bump, so wondering if a crinoline defeats the purpose...and if Id ever even find one to fit me :P And if I did go with one, how do I find one to fit? My normal (ie pre-pg and maternity clothing) size is about 5 sizes smaller than the dress I had to buy...will I have to do the same with the crinoline? Will it make it look silly? Or should I just skip it?

Weve decided to move the wedding date to august since we have SO much going on right now with moving, my son coming etc...so I will be about 31 weeks along when we get married. Gotta change my ticker, but we havent decided on the new date yet.

Yep, you should probably go for a crinoline if your dress is meant to have that sort of silhouette.  It'll make the dress sort of go out and camoflauge your belly a bit, if that makes sense.  I have a bit of a belly (not from pregnancy, from cookies ;) ), and my dress looks much better with the crinoline on.  Try looking on e-bay for the kind that are one size fits all (they're pretty big and stretchy), or a plus sized one to fit your bump.

I have a US size Bridal 18 (will fit a US size 12-14 woman) that I only wore once for my wedding day. This is an old post so you might not need it anymore but just wondering if anyone was interested in buying it.
