Just had my first random cry since the day Gareth left two weeks ago.  Miss him so much and has been hard to get back into my life before he visited cause my house feels so empty without his presence here.  It does help to know that he finds it hard to get back into his "normal" life now that he's back ... Still ...it may be a whole year before I can move over there.  I wonder will we get used to visiting one another and returning to life without each other, will it get easier?

Sorry you are having a hard time right now. Believe me I've been there. I hate to say it but in my experience, no it doesn't get easier. Each time we had to say goodbye it just got harder for me. It's because each time I fell in love with him and his kids just a little bit more if that's possible! It's heart breaking to leave people you love, and to try and go on with your life as "normal" so far away from them.

The bright side is you have a pot of gold at the end of your rainbow, you know you'll be together for good someday. Keep focused on that, and enjoy every minute you do get to spend together until then. It's nice to have a date to countdown to, two months will be here before you know it. Just try to stay busy for now and know there are lots of people here to turn to that understand what you are going through when things get tough!  [smiley=hug.gif]

Thank you for the words of encouragement and also for being honest about whether or not it gets easier.  I had a feeling it did not.  :-\\\\

:) It is wonderful to know there are people who understand and empathize with what I am going through.  Cause there sure aren't any people elsewhere in my life that I can talk to about these feelings.  I'll say it again, I'm soooo glad I found this site.

Yes this site is great, I don't know what I'd do without it. Sure some of your friends and family may try to understand, but it's just nice to have people that have first hand experience with some of the things you are going through. You can't beat the people around here, that's for sure. Although I said it doesn't get easier saying goodbye, would you really want it to? Sure it would be nice to not feel so sad, but it's natural to feel sad when you are away from someone you love. Just don't let it control you and stop you from doing things you enjoy, and countdown the time until you'll be with him again to keep you focused on the positive! Good luck to you and hang in there, some days are better than others that's for sure!  :)
