Citizenship in eachother's country

I just read a reply fron Andrea. and she said that you can get citizenship in eachother's country. I would like to do this eventually. When Jamie and I are in a better place financially, I would like to live in the US for a year. How would we do this? I know I can get citizenship in the UK in 2008. I'm still on my FLR and will be getting my IRL next year. I can get citizenship after three years, am I correct? I hear it on radio one the other week. I'm not sure how Jamie would get citizenship in the US though. Anyone know?

it's possible if you both fulfill residency requirements for naturalization in the US and UK- so after you get your citizenship in 2008, you and Jamie would have to move to the US at some point and stay there for at least three years (it's three years residency if married to a US citizen, five years otherwise) before he would be eligible for naturalization.  Then if he naturalizes at that point you'll both be US/UK dual citizens
