My mom drove up from Houston (about 50 miles) so we could do some post-Christmas shopping together.  While we were out, she treated me to lunch and took me to the grocery store so I could get a few things.  This was a godsend, as construction can render me unable to leave my home via car for hours at a time.  We had to park down the block from my house, but we managed.  I was in need of canned cat food, and a few other things, so this made me happy!

My mom telling me that she will take care of DD when I go back to work.  And we won't have to pay her anything.  Thank goodness because the price of daycare here (especially in our neighborhood) is outrageous.  Now, I just need to find a job;-)

I miss living far away from my family sometimes.  ;)

I had a great day with my hubby today, did a bit of dream shopping and had a nice lunch and a nice dinner, and I pretty did nothing the rest of the night but organize everything in our financial accounts.

Spending the day watching TV with Dh curled up on the couch together,  [smiley=love.gif]  then playing a game with Dh that he got me for Christmas, then chatting this evening with one of my friends from back home on Yahoo who I haven't chatted with for a while.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]  so today has been a great day.  ;D   [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
