The Wars of the Roses
« on: January 16, 2004, 08:03:52 PM »
Dear Caitlinn and SAF,

Here is a link to the Richard III Society:

and there is even an American branch of it:

The Wars of the Roses by Charles Ross is given five stars by one Amazon Reviewer, who says:

Illustrated throughout with scores of black and white prints and photos, Ross provides one of the most accessible introductions to the Wars of the Roses. He covers the dynastic problems, the social history, the military structure and allegiances very comprehensively. For a student or enthusiast wishing to get a quick grasp of the era, this is an excellent book and still one of the best available.

I haven't read it myself, but I think I should!

Meet you both in the tilting ground! (Better there than at Towton [smiley=shifty.gif]!)

Howard

Hey, Howard, thanks for that.  I need some new reading material and that sounds just up my alley.

That depends entirely upon the side of the fence on which you sit.  ;)
