Hi
« on: January 18, 2004, 03:29:45 PM »
Hi

I'm new to this site.  I've been living in the UK (Greater Lodnon) since April, however it's not my first time living here.  I spent a lot of time studying/living here in the 80's.  Now I'm married (husband is from here) and we're expecting our first child this coming April. Before this we had been living in Istanbul and then in a small town in Portugal.  I'm originally from New York City.

Hiya pcbnyc,

Welcome to UK-Y!  You should visit our Pregnancy/Parenting forum and add yourself to the list of ladies expecting.  You might also be interested in visiting the Expats Meetings and Events forum, if you are interested in meeting fellow expats.  I think they are having an upcoming curry night at a restaurant in London.  It would be a nice opportunity to meet some fellow Americans and their British spouses.

Enjoy!

Thanks.  Normally I'd be interested in a curry night, but ever since I got pregnant I find the smell of it repulsive.  Hopefully once the baby's born I can go back to eating curry again.

Hi and welcome to the site! Must be exciting to be expecting your first child!

Also sounds like you've been doing quite a lot of globe trotting which is always cool.  How are you finding London compared to other places?

I'm still on the US side and not sure when we will be moving over

I hope you keep posting here!  :)

Welcome pcbnyc!  Congratulations on your baby.  The Pregnancy and Parenting board was just added last week so that was fortunate for you.  You're getting in on the ground floor of it.  I'm sure your input would be greatly appreciated.  Can't wait to hear more about you and your family.
