Entry Clearance Time (HSMP)
« on: July 12, 2006, 10:12:54 PM »
Just wondering how long it took for people to get their Entry Clearance through NY Consulate when applying for Non-settlement visa.

I'm set to move over to Leeds on August 17th and am waiting for my last bank statement to show sufficient means to support myself before I FedEx my Entry Clearance application.  I'm hoping it's no more than a one week turn around?

Also, is it acceptable to include my 401K savings as well as my checking account statements?  While I don't have immediate access to my 401K, if i exhausted all my savings i could take out and live for a few more years on the 401 funds.

Thanks

the BritainUSA site says within 5 business days, and from anecdotal evidence from people I know here and elsewhere it seems to take between 1-2 weeks on average (usually closer to one week than two!)
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12
