Location (US/UK) of savings when applying for visa
« on: July 19, 2006, 06:30:09 PM »
The info section of the ukvisas website says that we should include bank statements for the UK sponsor (my husband), showing that he has funds to support me.  However, I've just begun to move the money from our US accounts to our UK accounts and this does not show up in our bank statements (because it was done so recently).  Is this going to be a problem?  Should I explain that I've recently sold some of our US investments and transfered the money to the UK?  Or should I just include our most recent 6 months of statements and leave it at that?

Thanks.

Don't you have receipts from the transactions with which you moved the money over?

Oh, good idea.  I could use those.

Thanks.
