Any eperience of POE????
« on: July 30, 2006, 09:22:48 PM »
at Raleigh Durham NC.

i fly to see hubby for 2 weeks on Tuesday before he starts his 6 month Pre deployment training. I am scared they will turn me away when I say i am here to visit my husband. My passport is still in my maiden name, i am taking my marriage certificate, kids birth certificates, paperwork for my house to show ties to this country.

I have always travel through Chicago and never had any probs.

I don't know why but since this is the first trip since we married i am so worried they will say sorry , and turn me away.

I think you'll be alright. As long as you have all of your documents, you should be fine. Immigration at Raleigh are decent. I had a layover there and they let my husband go through the American citizen line. My passport and ticket wasn't in my married name and they never asked. They might ask how long you were married, but other than that, you should be fine. If you're still really worried, you can always call wherever you got the tickets... I called where I got my tickets when my passport got wet.

No worries! I fret over everything, I mean everything when I travel. It always works out fine though! :)
