Where to purchase beer in London
« on: August 02, 2006, 09:40:19 AM »
My cousin is trying to buy some nicer beers before she leaves to take back to the US but there doesn't seem to be very many stores that sell these!  Anyone have any ideas??

The Great British Beer Festival is going on now at Earl's Court.  It would be a good place to find almost every imaginable type of beer you could ever want!! Plus, she could always try before she buys!!!

There is a place in Borough Market with a great selection of bottled beer!

Sainsbury's and Watrose have a very good selection of bottled Real Ales, but I agree that the festival would be the place...I'm going on Thursday.

All of the major supermarkets will have a pretty good selection of real ales.  I dont know if your Safeways have become Morrisons in London, but Morrisons have a good selection, and the best price i've seen... £1.59 per bottle.

Not sure where in London you are but the best offie for miles around is Gerrys in Old Compton St, the Wardour St end.
