just adding an update as to how I'm doing almost a week later...
There have been ups and downs, but mostly downs, to be honest. I developed 2 dry sockets (exposed bone) over the weekend and was in constant pain (especially after I ran out of prescription painkillers!) I went in to the doctor's office first thing yesterday and he put some medicated packing in there, which relieved the pain on the left but not so much on the right. So I went back today and he put a much bigger piece into the lower right socket which is helping a lot. Now I'm just sore, but no more excruciating pain! I also am having numbness on the right side of my chin, but apparently it's normal especially since they exposed a significant portion of my nerve during surgery. I got a perscription for some steroids to speed the healing and the numbness should go away over the next several days/weeks.
So, while the last four days or so have been pretty hellish, I'm *finally* starting to get back to normal, thank goodness
