My ladies cricket team won our first 6-a-side tournament yesterday!  And even better...we beat our rivals who had crushed us in 2 regular season games.  Happiness is beating Alexandra Palace and seeing them all bummed out!  They thought they'd rule us & they DIDN'T!!!! Woo hoo!

p.s.  I played really, really well...ha!  American's can play cricket and well too!

wow we have a chauvanistic sports barrier here in the uk? I know in some of the sports some of them can be quite sexist against men but had not realised the guys did it too.

My DF is a cricket player as are a load of my field hockey club friends...so it was just natural to join them on the Ladies Cricket team...it's really not that complicated once you have someone explain it.  I don't understand everything and am still learning, but the basics are rather easy.  And it's darn fun to be bashing the ball around with a huge bat!
