College Football (U.S.)

Any suggestions where college football may be shown in London?  I don't have a sling-box, and am hoping to find a sports bar/pub.

Hey Melanie. Sports cafe is Haymarket is a pretty good bet most days because they have so many screens. So even if a college football game is up against English football (soccer) at the same time, you usually can convince the management to put your college football on one of the screens.

The coverage is provided by North American Sports Network, which is an add-on package you can get with a Sky satellite TV deal. NASN is pretty good for NCAA football and hoops, MLB, NFL and NASCAR but no guarantees "your team" is going to be on. But they seem to show most of the big games.

I have to disagree about NASN-last year they were pretty good, but this year they are AWFUL! My husband and I are currently looking into ways to get out of our contract with them because, last year, they had a contract with ESPN/ABC for college football but appear to have terminated it without telling their subscribers. (Maybe this is just me being American, but I think that's incredibly shady.) Now, they only games they really have are Jefferson Pilot and CBS, which are SEC.

If you're into other sports (well, really just baseball) they aren't so bad. But, if you want it for football, you might as well give me your £15 a month and I'll give you a play-by-play of whatever game you want. You'd probably be more satisfied.
