Hotels in Brighton?
« on: September 01, 2006, 07:38:18 PM »
We are going to spend a weekend in Brighton in September, any suggestions for a hotel?  We really wanted to stay at the Hotel Du Vin but they have 2 night minimum on weekends.  We just want to stay Saturday night.  Looking for 4-5 star, any suggestions appreciated!!  Thanks!  :)

Have you considered looking at B&Bs? There are loads in the area with all sorts of accommodations and price ranges.

Brighton is great. You will have a good time!

oh how great!! wow that year certainly zipped by didn't it?

In Brighton, you will find what you expect in a  "Northern California" posh type B&B and also the regular old travelling around the UK on a budget B&Bs.

It's a lovely seaside town... lots of exploring to do!!  I am wishing you the best weather!!

Hey Jen, thanks again for the b & b suggestion!  After looking at different hotels/rooms/rates for the last few weeks, we finally picked one and I just got it booked!  Staying for 2 nights in a junior suite with ocean view!   ;D 8)

So excited to spend our first anniversary together by the ocean!  Especially since we did the same thing for our wedding, except that was in Half Moon Bay!  :)

That's great! I hope the weather holds out because it is so nice to walk around and see the sights. I was there Saturday for the Brighton Speed Trials. Vroom vroom! We ate lunch on the pebble beach and enjoyed the sunshine and cool air.

Have  good time and happy anniversary!  ;D

My husband and I stayed in The Granville for our anniversary last year. The room we booked wasn't available for some reason so they moved us to a much better room. When we arrived, they immediately gave us the room without explanation or hassle.

The room we stayed at was at the front of the hotel, behind the bay window. It was a lovely suite with an extra large bath tub which I may say was WONDERFUL for two youngins celebrating their past nuptials.

I highly recommend it. It's in a fabulous location, right across the street from the old West Pier, and there's a yummy and elegant Chinese Restaurant nearby.

I posted my review on it Feb 24, 2005.

Here's more info about it:

Happy trails!
