Fave tea for iced tea?
« on: October 25, 2006, 07:49:09 PM »
I have iced tea most days -- actually it's pretty much out of laziness: I make a pot of tea in the morning, have a cup of it, then leave the rest on the table 'til I get home from work.  Then I just fill a big glass with ice, and pour the cold tea over the ice . . . mmmmm.

My favourite tea is rooibus -- either the English Breakfast tea, or the Earl Grey.  Once in a while I do some chamomile-spearmint, too.

Anyone else?  Favourite teas for icing?

(I also loved iced coffee, too -- lots of cream and sugar.  Kind of like the ones they made at Dunkin Donuts, back in the States?)
I leave for work at 7:10 each morning, and get home at 6:00 each evening.  Wish I could stay home all day and do nothing but sit around on UKY!  What a life!  And I have no Internet access in my classroom, so I can't just stop teaching and surf UKY.  Can you believe it??  Horrid, my job!

Jasmine tea or Rose Congou tea or Spiced Orange tea.
If you don't know where you're going, it doesn't matter what road you take.

Orange Pekoe or Ceylon are usually the base teas used in the states that most Americans use to make their ice tea.  I, for one, enjoy Earl Grey cold as the bergamot oil gives it a nice added flavour.  I also really don't mind any flavoured tea that is black tea based i.e. English Rose, Apple Crumble, Strawberry...
