Hooray, we're here and all went well! We landed at 7:30am at Gatwick and I loaded Ize's crate into the car at 10am! Her paperwork was all fine and she breezed through the vet check and customs! She is laying right next to the keyboard, batting at my fingers as I type. It's wonderful to have her with me and she is in seventh heaven!
I didn't bring Butch back with me. It was so distressing that he didn't remember me and was afraid of me! However, he has bonded beautifully with the people he stayed with and they begged me to let him stay. As much as I will miss him, I really want him to be where he is happiest. He was my mom's cat and he hasn't really bonded with anyone since she died. I just couldn't take him away from them. :\\\'(
Ize doesn't seem to miss Butch at all! Of course, it may be that she is just so relieved to be away from the dogs that losing Butch is an acceptable price for her to pay!
It's good to be home and it really, really feels like home now that Ize is here!
