found egg nog! (sort of)

Starbucks, which interestingly sells egg nog lattes in the UK, took pity on us and offered to sell us a quart/liter/litre for a couple of quid.  The price will probably be proportionate to your perceived desperation...

Eggnog is just eggs, cream and sugar, isn't it? Plus the booze, of course!  Check www.epicurious.com for recipes; I'm sure they'll have a few!

I thought Starbucks used syrup.  Their eggnog latte always tastes sweet syrupy to me.

Nope, in the states at least we got eggnog from our dairy suppiler and jsut used it in place of milk for the drinks.  I am not sure what they use here, but ohhhh the drama when we were down to the last carton of eggnog at the end of the season.  People would fight over it in the store and the Caramel Apple Cide.

I had my first Egg Nog Latte of the season last week.  It was YUUUUM.

i found a great ebay user that sells american food from within the uk, with low shipping charges, and they have eggnog!!!

Had it in the US.  Not that great, but I was spoiled as we had it come fresh from a local dairy.  I'd rather just make my own.

I've tried the stuff from cans before. Not good.

Caramel Apple Cide.

I was horrified when I saw my $3 Starbucks Apple cider was actually warmed up Tree Top Apple Juice with a dash of caramel.

Starbucks likes to use syrup for lots of their drinks. My other disillusion was the Chai.

Costco sells Eggnog with alcohol in a jug you can buy off the liquor shelf. I think it was about $7-10.

You should give it a try then. You already know it's not going to be the same as the real thing so you might actually like it. Don't let me put you off if you're interested in buying it!
