I haven't got one on the way, but I'm planning to mail myself a big box of treats when I go home in two weeks' time - that way, they'll arrive about a month after I'm back in the UK, once I'm good and homesick for them!  So far my list includes:

+ Near East rice pilaf (boxed - soooo good!)
+ Baby Ruths
+ Cheerios (the regular kind, not the weird multi-grain ones I see at Sainsbury)
+ Goldfish crackers (the BIG box, 3 of them!)
+ Reese's cups
+ Del Monte creamed corn (the 8oz, single-serving cans - DF doesn't like corn)
+ Lawry's marinade (Mesquite & Lime, for steak)
+ Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chips
+ lots and lots of Pine Mountain cornmeal
+ LeSeurs baby peas (also the 8oz single-serving cans - they remind me of my grandmother)
+ Bush's baked beans
+ Hunt's tomato sauce & Hunt's crushed tomatoes (essential for homemade spaghetti sauce)
+ Peter Pan peanut butter

Yay!

i was in Texas about a month ago, and i posted a parcel to myself here in the UK... should be arriving in a couple of weeks!

It's going to be a big surprise when it does arrive, cos i cant remember everything that's in it, but what i do remember is:

Underwood devilled ham
Underwood chicken spread
Triscuits
Noxema
lots of coffee pods in yummy flavours

My most recent package was sent by a friend (I love surprise packages) and it contained:
twizzlers
wheat thins
peanut butter m&ms
trident gum
sprees
crystal light

I cannot wait until my brother arrives Dec 26 with an entire suitcase of stuff for me!! ;D

The only thing I ever ask for is Tootsie Rolls and Taco Bell sauces. That's the only thing that is ever in my packages although, I've not had any in the past couple of years. :(

Good idea to post stuff back to yourself on the slow boat.
I think I might do that when we go over for Christmas.

I'm putting together a list right now... which includes:
* zatarain's
* arizona ice tea
* cheerios (yes, distinct lack of plain cheerios here)
* constant comment tea
* hanes her way tank tops

Mmm, Zatarain's!  I was craving red beans and rice the other day - also yellow rice - good idea!

And, yes, the Cheerios here are the pits.  My childhood favorite was Honey Nut Cheerios, which they have, but I'm lactose intolerant and I can't have them with milk any more, so I go through plain Cheerios by the handful.  Perfect for snacks on the go!

I just brought back this time (and consistently request):

Herdez Salsa (I can eat a whole jar in one sitting)
organic whole bean coffee (Traders Joes preferred)
canned pumpkin (I hate paying over £1 for it here!)
Reese's Miniatures
corn tortillas
Mrs. Dash
Butter Buds

My mom also had one of the church ladies make homemade egg noodles for me which was an unexpected delight!

Y'all are giving me some really good ideas of what I want to ship back.  I'm sure I'll go nuts at the grocery store.

Adds:
* green chiles
* corn tortillas

i know you can get a lot of "american" snacks here...but i've paid around £2 for a small bag of corn tortilla chips...the huge bag of pretzels my mom sent is marked $2.49...where i pay at least £2 for not as good pretzels from M&S!!
plus i just love seeing how the packaging has changed...i haven't been to the states in over 3 years!! the ritz crackers she sent me say "recipes from rachel ray".... i don't even know who that is!?

You can get corn tortillas here.

Where?  I can only find the Old El Paso ones.  I don't really like them because they aren 't true corn tortillas.  The only other place I've bought them from is Cool Chile in London.  Too pricey to get all the time.  I know I can get a huge bag in the states for cheap & freeze them.
