Well, we made it to England! The container got packed, loaded, sealed, and sent off to the port. The flight was fine, didn't get much sleep, but am caught up now. We have managed to set up a bank account, acquire mobile phones, and are in the process of looking at rental properties with estate agents. The house where we are staying is comfortable, but not homey, as none of our stuff is there. We should receive our air shipment this week, with some stuff that will make the house seem more homey, but I can't wait until end of Nov. when we will be in "our" house with our stuff.
No phone line in our accomodation, so the only internet access is at the local internet cafe, so I don't expect to be posting much until we get more settled.
Anyway, here we are and things are starting to fall into place.
